Student Recitals

This page is where I publish developing information about upcoming student recitals. Having a performance to work toward is a great motivator and helps take you to a higher level of preparation and play.

About twice a year student recitals are scheduled. All students are expected to attend and perform. Attendance at the dress rehearsal is mandatory to perform on the recital. I will hire a pianist to accompany all students who require one. There is a recital fee of $40 for all participating students, due with the regular lesson fee on the first meeting of the month in which the recital occurs. 

The dress rehearsal, always about a week before the recital, is mandatory. (Except this time: no dress rehearsal.)

As usual, we will work on your recital music in our regular lessons. In the last two or three weeks before the recital, we will invite the accompanist in during your lesson time to work on the piece together, if possible.

You are encouraged to invite friends and family to the recital. Don't be too shy. This is your chance to show off all your hard work!

Treats and beverages will be served at the end to celebrate.
